Seattle Sounders Game

Becky was giving me a hard time about not posting in over a month, so this is to make her happy. [OK, OK.. I just looked and it's been more like 3 months] It's so silly, though -- I update Facebook alot -- blogs just take so much time!

So, to my story...Michael, Sean, Katie (Sean's girlfriend), Steven and I all had tickets to the Sounders game and we were really excited about going. We stopped at a store on the way and I bought a Sounders jersey.. so then we were all matching in our Sounders jerseys. Oh wait.. we took pics the whole way...and a few videos...let me share them with you.

We stopped and looked at the big commotion at Westlake Mall (because it also happened to be opening day for the Seattle Link Light Rail). We had our picture taken with a newspaper as it was such a "historic event." Then the picture taker told us instead of "say cheese" to say "Go chelsea!" So then we all looked shocked and mad. Except for Katie -- she liked it.

As we were heading for the bus tunnel to ride the new light rail, we were doing all of our Sounders chants, and attracted a Seattle Times photographer, who started to follow us. She told us to "act natural and pretend she wasn't there."

That's when she got this shot:

So, needless to say, we had a great time, and it was made even better by us all making it into the newspaper (even if only half of Mike's face made it in)

Shots from the rest of the game:

(Marcus was with us at the game, but he missed the newspaper opportunity.. bummer)

[Michael and Steven thought people were actually cheering for them...]

Looks like fun! So cool to make it into the newspaper, too.
